Malabrigo Aquarella ScarfThis was a wonderfully fast and satisfying knit. I’m really pleased with how the ribbing looks with the thick and thin yarn. It’s not quite as soft as I’d like, but it’s soft enough. Also, I’m very glad that I made this a thin yarn in width, because it is really thick.

What Have I Learned?

Thick yarns are the best for quick Christmas knits, and can be just as fun. Sometimes it’s best to just keep it simple instead of trying to think of a complicated pattern to use.

Really thick yarns like this need at least a size 15 needle to be drapey, and I should probably use thinner yarns if I want something with more flexibility.
